Bruce Wood has been with BW Arpeggio since its founding in 2022. Bruce has practiced in the valuation realm for the last 20 years of his 30+ year career helping clients in financial services. Through his work as BW Arpeggio’s leader for tax-related business appraisals, valuations, disputes and litigation, Bruce routinely supports tax controversy attorneys in resolving tax-related business valuation disputes in US Tax Court and in IRS appeals and audits. He also enables estate and gift attorneys to achieve favorable results for their clients in the realm of estate, gift, and trust tax planning and compliance.
Bruce’s career has helped clients and legal teams navigate the complexities of situations including personal or corporate divorces, mergers & acquisition activity, estate, gift and trust transactions, and other disputes and for those in several industries including professional services, manufacturing, distribution, food service, mining, technology, retail and other business sectors.

- Bruce frequently presents to professional legal tax and estate organizations, including 2023’s UCLA Extension 39th Annual Tax Controversy Institute, and NYU School of Professional Studies 15th Annual Tax Controversy Forum, on valuation disputes with the IRS, and has been published and featured in “Bloomberg Tax.”
- His appraisal services recently empowered three jointly engaged national law firms to secure a “no-change” audit result for a decedent estate’s family business that had been assessed $40 million in valuation adjustments by the IRS. The estate also received a refund for administrative fees.
