Celebrating International Women’s Day at Brady Ware

From History to Action: Celebrating International Women's Day at Brady Ware

At Brady Ware, International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on the progress made by women in the professional world and to reinforce our commitment to the journey ahead. This year, our celebration was anchored by a powerful presentation that focused on a thorough examination of the historical milestones and modern data that define women’s advancement in the workforce.

A Conversation Across Generations

Our celebration centered on an interactive presentation regarding the advancement of women throughout history and notable, at times eye-opening, statistics of women in today’s workforce. Rather than a traditional lecture, the session transformed into a dynamic conversation as participants shared information about the origins of International Women’s Day and discussed why its mission remains so relevant in the modern professional landscape.

“To truly appreciate where we are today, we must look at the pivotal moments in history where women fought for a seat at the table,” Eva Horton, Brady Ware’s administrative supervisor, said. “The statistics show incredible progress from women in leadership roles to the expanding impact of women-owned businesses, but it also reminds us that intentionality is still required. Reflecting on our history allows us to move forward with a clearer vision of what equality looks like in practice.”

“Reflecting on the impact of women in the workforce is about more than celebrating milestones; it is about recognizing the unique perspectives and strategic leadership that drive our collective success.”

Beyond the Firm

This internal focus perfectly complements our external work in the community. As a founding supporter of the Columbus Women’s Leadership Conference, Brady Ware remains dedicated to providing platforms for women to lead and succeed. Whether we are gathered with other women leaders across Columbus or gathered internally as a firm during our Women’s Initiative Day, our goal remains the same: empowering every woman at Brady Ware to own her future.

“Reflecting on the impact of women in the workforce is about more than celebrating milestones; it is about recognizing the unique perspectives and strategic leadership that drive our collective success,” Betty Collins, Columbus office managing shareholder, said. “When we take a moment to look at how far we’ve come, we aren’t just honoring the past but also intentionally clearing the path for the next generation of leaders to excel and innovate.”
