Bob Reynolds to Retire after 30 Years of Dedication
Bob Reynolds to Retire after 30 Years of Dedication
The time has come for me to begin the next chapter of my life. After 30 years with Brady Ware & Company, the time has come for me to say goodbye. Friends and colleagues, I will be retiring at the end of January 2023. I have experienced success and overcome more than a few setbacks since entering the workforce in 1974, and my time at Brady Ware has been the highlight of my life’s work.
I remember sitting in the parking lot of our Richmond office on a Saturday morning, dressed in my blue pinstriped suit and red power tie, waiting for Mr. Brady to arrive to conduct a final interview for me to join Brady Ware’s audit team. He arrived a few minutes after me, jumped out of his truck wearing cargo shorts and a Hawaiian shirt and introduced himself, telling me to call him “Bud.” I knew right then I had found the firm for me. Thirty years later, I have never had any regrets about joining the team.
When I joined the firm, we were fewer in number, but we shared a common vision to grow the business, create opportunities for our team, and expand services to our clients. To my fellow Directors, it has been a privilege to work with you over the years, and I am proud of what we have accomplished and grateful for the opportunity to be part of it all.
Brady Ware would not be where it is today were it not for our greatest asset: our team of talented professionals. It has been a pleasure working with them, I wish them great success, and I hope they experience joy, like I have, throughout their careers.
Leading our Nonprofit Services Group has been an honor and a privilege. Having the opportunity to work closely with so many organizations over the years has been inspirational. Collaborating with these organizations has created a passion in me to serve others and a strong belief that working together we can, and will, make the world a better place.
I am very proud of Brady Ware’s commitment to supporting the nonprofit community. Development of our Take Five Nonprofit Leadership Conference, and our role in helping to establish the Miami Valley Nonprofit Collaborative as a charitable organization, demonstrate this commitment. I am confident that, under Twana Cheek’s leadership, Brady Ware’s Nonprofit Services Group will continue its support of the nonprofit community.
I would be remiss if I did not thank a few individuals before I conclude my comments. I would like to thank my Richmond Brady Ware family. We have experienced a great deal of life together. More than once you have rallied around me and my family during challenging times, and this has meant the world to us. Also, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Tina Jobe for helping me manage my day and keeping me on track all these years. Life would have been a lot more difficult were it not for her support.
I will conclude by thanking my wife, Renee and our daughters Amanda and Lindsey. Without their patience, love, and support I would not be where I am today. They sacrificed spending time together to allow me to do the things I do without complaint. I am not 100% certain what I will do in retirement, but I do know it will involve spending more time just being a husband and dad.
All the best and thanks for the memories,
Bob Reynolds
