James D. Tischer, CPA
Jim joined Brady Ware in 1996. He has over 35 years’ experience in taxation, spending 22 of those years with a national accounting firm. His focus has been on Federal and Ohio tax laws and regulations as they relate to closely held entities and their owners.
Jim’s experience extends to all areas of tax planning, research and compliance for both closely held and public corporations and partnerships. He has worked closely with the executives and owners of these entities in connection with their personal financial, income and estate planning. He has had significant experience in obtaining IRS ruling requests, approval for changes in tax accounting methods, structuring and restructuring, acquisitions, divestitures, IRS examinations, and overall tax planning related to problems that arise in connection with business transactions.
Jim is a member of The American Institute of CPAs and The Ohio Society of CPAs. He currently sits on the board of the Greater Dayton Mental Health Foundation. He has been involved with the GDMHF since 1985.
